NextGen Living

Respiratory Innovation Wales (RIW) is spearheading the move towards net-zero and intelligent build environments through the NextGen Living consortium. The consortium comprises of RSLs, Local Authorities, architects, engineers, energy, food, construction, data, data analytics and sensors. The aim of the consortium is to design homes and commercial buildings around the health, wellbeing and wealth of the users.

RIW has successfully implemented the program in and around the Newport area. The program includes MediPark, 1,200 homes, Torfaen Local Authority, 400 Pobl, 1 school, and 1 hospital facility. Following an excellent meeting with SCR and Neath/Port Talbot, RIW sees a tremendous opportunity in southwest Wales. Discussions are already underway to build 10,000 homes and commercial buildings that prioritise the health and wellbeing of its users.

RIW has a strong focus on promoting healthy living and reducing respiratory-related illnesses. We also aim to improve the overall quality of life for the users by providing solutions for affordable, sustainable, and energy-efficient homes and commercial buildings.

The NextGen Living consortium is a collaborative effort that brings together experts in various fields to design buildings that prioritize the health, wellbeing, and wealth of its users. By incorporating sustainable technologies, the consortium is leading the way towards a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for Wales.
