Are you interested in finding out more about Respiratory Research or getting involved with Respiratory Research?

RIW Respiratory Advisory Group

There are different ways that you can get involved. You can:

  • become an active research subject in a clinical trial or
  • be involved in the provision of education and training programmes or
  • be a member of the Respiratory Advisory Group and/or wider network.

In RIW we are continuing to build a strong all Wales Respiratory Network involving the NHS, Industry, Academia and importantly Respiratory Patients and their Carers.

Developing and offering an integrated system, will allow Wales to compete with some of the best centres across the UK attracting more research and development investment, which will benefit the health and economic prospects of the people of Wales.

As part of this, a key role for RIW is to further develop and facilitate the Respiratory Advisory Group and Network, which gives a voice to patients and their carers in the development of research and innovation in the field of respiratory.

Patient insights are essential in the development of new devices, treatments and disease management strategies and therefore valuable for clinicians, academics, innovators and industry to achieve good outcomes for the end user.

If you would like to get involved and kept updated regarding our work, we would really like to hear from you.
