Green Collect was formed by three experienced entrepreneurs with the intention of being a catalyst in the domestic retrofit market. It brings together existing schemes, stakeholders and householders to deliver warmer, healthier, more energy efficient homes whilst immediately reducing energy bills…. at no cost to the householder.
All of this achieved using existing funding, and therefore putting no additional pressure on the already stretched public purse.
In Wales alone, the Future Generations Commissioner has suggested that improving all housing to a minimum level of EPC C would save the NHS £400 million annually.
The idea was originally proposed at the Respiratory Innovation Wales conference in November 2022, and in the following months we met with the NHS, local authorities, housing associations, energy companies and the industry installers to develop a solution that would benefit all involved.
